Barouke - The WoodCrafters Gallery |
 |
|
 |
Based in the Southeastern United States, Barouke Exotic Woods Etc. “The Woodcrafters Gallery,” has been a leading source of wooden art, designed and fashioned mainly by American artists. These creations have been skillfully handcrafted from exotic and domestic hardwoods, as well as other complimentary art mediums. Barouke’s extensive collection is almost exclusively made of woods that are in their natural colors and exude the beauty of nature at its best.
This unique wood gallery is nestled among a treasure trove of shops, situated inside ‘The Old Wilmington City Market’ building, (est.1878). A picturesque view of The Cape Fear River which meanders its way through the heart of The Historic Downtown Wilmington North Carolina, sets the ambience of our favorite hardwood gallery.Spectacular sandy beaches and the renowned ‘Screen Gems Studios’ are only minutes away.
Barouke presents works by over 150 regional and internationally acclaimed master woodworkers, as well as pewter artists. Come on in and be dazzled!

Our Goals
We are on a relentless search to identify and bring to our customers, some of the finest woodworking available. We also hope to guide, nurture, inspire and encourage as many woodworking enthusiasts as possible. Our website (barouke.com) and our Web Blog will serve as our media force in harnessing this effort.
Barouke at Cape Fear
The Cape Fear River and how it is intertwined in the history of the region makes our location a powerful magnet to visitors and to the filming industry of the United States. Our visiting customers take great delight in sampling the fine restaurants, art galleries, museums and shops that grace these surroundings. The famous Battleship North Carolina also adds to the various attractions that Historic Downtown Wilmington has to offer. This place is where art meets entertainment; yes, all this is topped by our ever so popular street festivals namely, The Azalea Festival ( our first festival in spring of each year), The Orange Street Festival, and Octoberfest; all highly supported by local and regional artists and artisans. Did someone just make an enquiry about our proximity to our beaches? The answer is... our primary beaches are merely fifteen to twenty minutes away.
