Our 6-Way Sculptured Contour Box crafted by Eric Arcese, is made from maple, bubinga, purpleheart (indigenous to South and Central America) and padauk, a flaming red exotic wood which is indigenous to Africa. The top or lid of this hardwood box is sculpted into six parts, quite similar to that of a jigsaw puzzle. Each removable part can be made to swivel independently on its axis at 180 degrees. However, these turns are limited if all pieces are positioned on the box. The non-traditional sculptured design of his unique wooden box, is influenced by ski slope moguls, well chewed pasture land, hillside cuts of superhighway exits and the deep contours of meandering creeks. Dimensions: 12x6x4 inches
