The border of our Flights of Fancy Marquetry Mirror, depicts butterflies flitting among flowers and leaves. Our mirror was crafted with great precision by Jeffery Allan Nelson, using 384 pieces of wood veneer. Mother-of-pearl, abalone and malachite (a stone composite) was also used in the process. The Flights of Fancy Mirror consists of 12 species of woods from around the world. Enclosed in a pocket on the back of this mirror, is a legend which lists the number, wood types, their origin and placement in the intricate border design. The frame size is 25 wide "x 31 in height". This mirror is wired to be hung either vertically or horizontally.
