Henry Bergeson, a Mechanical
Engineer turned kaleidoscope
artist formed a love for things
mechanical at an early
age.
He developed a
keen eye for design through
the "real world" job
experience and in
1987 he moved to Colorado
his new home where he
followed his intuition and tried
his hand at the designing and
crafting of wooden
kaleidoscopes.
Today, he is widely respected
as a master in the field of
Kaleidoscope Artistry. His
favorite medium is
wood.
Each kaleidoscope represents
the culmination of the
evolution of an art form.
Each of Henry's most popular
kaleidoscopes (like The
Cordalee for example),
evolves over time.
Henry refers to these changes
as his
latest “Editions”.
However, if you should ever
meet Henry, don’t be
deceived by his quiet
demeanor. His life
has been anything but
boring. For example, you
might ask him to tell you the
story of how he was rescued
at sea (from his small sail
boat) during a storm, while
sailing from Europe to The
Americas.
