This very elegant Three Piece Natural Weather Station by Charles Elkan, will be a treasure for years to come and will be a perfect addition to any modern day décor. It measures 14" in height, 7 inches wide, 2 inches deep and weighs approximately 2-1/2 pounds. WHAT IS BURL WOOD: A burl is an uncommon type of wood in which the grain has grown in a deformed manner. It is commonly found in the form of a rounded outgrowth on a tree trunk or branch that is filled with small knots from dormant buds. Burls are like wooden gems which yield a very peculiar, highly figured and desired wood.
