Tom and Carol Paretti are
innovative kaleidoscope
artists who craft
each piece of their
kaleidoscopes by hand.
They started making
kaleidoscopes during the
1970s and for sevral years,
they
worked exclusively with exotic
woods. They later
incorporated leather,
anodized aluminum and Pyrex
Glass filled with tiny glass
beads, for the barrels. Highly
polished hardwoods are used
for
the eyepieces, turning ends
and their hallmark wood
fluting for the third side of the
mirror system.
The
work they produce is of the
highest
standard
and they are widely
acknowledged for their
meticulous
craftsmanship.
