The colors of the exotic woods in Wafer Mixed Woods Trivet are natural. No stains were used on the woods of this hot mat. The wood types used are cocobola (otherwise known as rosewood), purpleheart, rom-rom, and guapinol. These hardwoods are unique to Central America.
