A Tribute to The Talented and Beloved Woodturner David Yeatts

David Yeatts, who quietly passed away in 2020, was not only a skilled artisan, but also a beloved and highly respected member of the woodworking community. His passion for woodturning was infectious, and he generously shared his knowledge and expertise through countless demonstrations at woodworking symposiums across the United States.

David's work was a testament to his skill and attention to detail. He was particularly well-known for his perfectly finished ambrosia maple salad bowls, which were not only beautiful but also functional. His smooth and flawless finishes were the envy of woodturners everywhere, and his work inspired countless others to strive for excellence in their own craft.

Beyond his technical mastery, David was known for his warmth, humor, and generosity. He had a knack for putting others at ease and making everyone feel welcome in his presence. His kind spirit and willingness to share his knowledge and experience will be deeply missed by all who have had the privilege of knowing him.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to David's family, friends, and the entire woodworking community. David's legacy as a talented and respected woodturner will live on, and his impact on the craft will continue to inspire generations of artisans to come. Rest in peace, David.
